The scriptures are full of teaching and examples of discipleship, but to what end?  In order to leave new leaders trained and fully equipped for the next generation and to continue the purposes of God through the Church. Now that's vision! Joshua is going to help us release that vision.

Be strong in the strength of God Psalm 31:24; Ephesians 6:10

Four times Joshua is commanded to hold strongly to what is true and to act strongly upon what is right.

1. Strong to lead  v:6
2. Strong to succeed   v:7
3. Strong to endure  v:9
4. Strong to be followed v:18

But what should that strength be based upon?

A young man with a shepherd heart

Speak to my chosen one Strengthen his strengths

Faith in God
