Joshua the principles

In the Book of Proverbs we read that, 'Wisdom has built her house; she has hewn out its seven pillars'. Proverbs 9:1. That suggests that there are seven guiding principles upon which a wise and Godly life should be built. In the book of Joshua we have seven pillars or principles set out for us. The Bible indicates that those who adhere to these basic teachings will receive God's promised inheritance, will overcome their enemies and will be successful in all that they do. See Joshua 1:5-9

Speak the truth
Share the truth

Jesus said,
"I am the way and the truth and the life". John 14:6
"You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free".  John 8:31-38

Thought: " Never refuse or hide the truth"

The battle is the Lords
The battle is in the heavens
The battle has been won Jesus said,

"All authority is given unto me".  Matthew 28:18
"To him who overcomes ….I will give authority ". Rev 2:26

Thought: "We are authorised to do God's will"

Jesus said,
" I pray that all of them may be one and be brought to complete unity". John 17:20-23
"We, who are many, are one body". . 1 Cor 10:17

Thought: "Don't give up on the church – help it forward"

Be honest in humility
Be honest in confession
Be honest in discipline
Do not leave unconquered foes in your territory Jesus said," You are clean because of the word I have spoken to you".  John 15:3
 "Satan has asked to sift you as wheat but I have prayed for you." Luke 22:31

Thought: "It is better to hide in God than be hurt by the enemy"
